Are you in job transition? We invite people during times of career change or in need of sharpening their job search skills to come together in a safe forum for spiritual and practical support, networking, and encouragement. This Network is open to the community and free of charge. Meets on the first and third Mondays of each month, 9:00-10:30 a.m. at MBBC. Dirk Spencer is a recruiter with ProTech Solutions, a speaker, and instructor who coaches others on Resume Psychology principals. He is a former Dept. of Defense Analyst / Project Manager turned Account Management & Recruiting professional. He specializes in a variety of technical, finance, accounting and project management recruiting. Dirk speaks at a number of professional organization and career transition groups describing methods to write a resume designed to get the offer and not just the interview. Tonight Dirk will speak to us on social media, and how to create your “digital footprint” and what that means.
Gayle Bridgeman is a career consultant and trainer with Lee Hecht Harrison which provides expertise in career transition and workforce solutions. Currently Gayle is a full time staff consultant for a large client of hers, Texas Instruments, leading training workshops and providing one on one consultation to clients in job transition. Before joining Lee Hecht Harrison, Gayle has held leadership roles in several career networking groups as well as Fortune 500 companies including JCPenney. Tonight, Gayle will speak to us about resources for jobseekers with emphasis on how to develop a marketing plan.
Isabel Darwin leads a recruiting team at McKesson Corporation as a talent acquisition leader supporting a business unit of over 1000 employees. Isabel has been with McKesson in recruiting for 10 years and concentrates in finance, accounting and technical recruiting for this financial services arm of McKesson Corporation in Carrollton, a fortune 15 company. Isabel coordinated and implemented the DFW recruiting and branding initiative for McKesson and she is currently pursuing her MBA from Baylor University and holds a BA in International Relations. Tonight Isabel will present The Resume Selection Process and Getting Past the 5 second rule.
Sarah Friedman is Director of Recruitment at Baylor Healthcare Systems and has been with Baylor since 2004 in various HR roles. Sarah has spent the last 2 or 3 years building Baylor’s centralized recruiting team of almost 30 recruiters. In addition to building and managing this recruitment team, Sarah works with all levels of management to create hiring strategies for clinical departments. She works with professional organizations, develops education programs and works with marketing and advertisement to determine integrated recruitment strategies for present and future needs. Tonight, Sarah will discuss trends in healthcare recruiting, and how to best transition into new industries.
